How much has the Addiction Prevention Competence Centre (formerly the Association for Addiction Prevention NARKO-NE) meant to young people as a springboard for their further development? What has remained in their lives after they moved on, following their own paths? What was left in their lives when they went on, some of their own ways? In addition to healthy habits — which are the most important foundation for a healthy future — volunteering at the Addiction Prevention Competence Centre has served many young people as guidance and direction. From selective prevention projects aimed at students in helping professions, who through their volunteer experience work with vulnerable groups of children and youth — thereby developing their own personal and professional capacities — to young people for whom universal, or primary, prevention projects became the starting point of a further creative journey, the Addiction Prevention Competence Centre has helped shape many young lives.
