MISSION
The Expert Center for Addiction Prevention prevents risky behaviors among children, youth, and adults in Bosnia and Herzegovina, connecting preventive science and practice through training and mentoring, research, advocacy, and networking.

VALUES AND PRINCIPLES

Addiction prevention and health promotion
We create conditions for healthy growing up. We work on the causes of various types of addiction, strengthen life skills in children and youth, and develop activities for quality leisure time.

Volunteerism and non-formal education
For us, volunteer work is a tool for the personal development and improvement of young people, as well as a model for promoting social responsibility. Volunteers acquire knowledge and positive values that they apply and pass on within their communities.

Quality of life for individuals and the society
Our approach is reflected in recognizing and empowering the resources and potentials of individuals, in accordance with their needs. We encourage personal motivation, responsibility and the building of quality relationships, which we consider one of the most important factors in addiction prevention.

Our professionalism and innovation in preventive work are characterized by: scientific grounding, work methods adapted to target groups and integration of knowledge with personal attitudes and emotions.

Networking
We involve children and youth from different parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, connect with other governmental and non-governmental organizations, and collaborate with authorities at all levels with the aim of improving health in society.
