The Association for Addiction Prevention NARKO-NE invites young people aged 18 to 30 from Bosnia and Herzegovina to volunteer in Aachen, Germany, as part of the European Solidarity Corps program!The project is titled Solidarity with People with Disabilities. Volunteering locations include Pax Christi Aachen and Vinzenz-Heim Aachen.
Volunteers will support the inclusion of people with disabilities through daily activities and tasks:
Assisting with daily activities (e.g., setting the table, making coffee)
– Organizing leisure activities
– Helping with cooking and shopping
– Providing support during trips and vacations
– Assisting with mobility (e.g., pushing a wheelchair, walking with a visually impaired person)
– Participating in team meetings
The volunteer engagement lasts from November 2024 to May 2025 (seven months or less, due to preparation processes and visa arrangements). The preparatory process (document preparation, obtaining a visa…) begins immediately after the volunteer selection.
German language knowledge is not required but is desirable. All costs are covered (one level of language course, health insurance, accommodation, stipend, transportation). Before departure to Germany and throughout the volunteering, the selected volunteer will receive ongoing support from a mentor from NARKO-NE.

The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is a European Union initiative that creates opportunities for young people to volunteer or work on projects in their countries or abroad that benefit communities and people across Europe. NARKO-NE has been an accredited ESC sending and receiving organization since 2014.
