This year, the Boombar project brings together enthusiastic volunteers who are ready to contribute to their community while working on their personal growth. Throughout 2025, 20 volunteers will embark on this unique journey, learning and growing through experiences that will shape and guide them in the future.
To introduce them to the association and prepare them for the volunteering cycle, a two-day training session was held on January 21–22, 2025. This session marked the first step in their volunteer engagement. During the training, volunteers got to know and connect with one another, building the foundation of a true team capable of making a meaningful impact on their community.
The training provided an opportunity to discuss and learn about important topics such as addiction prevention while also brainstorming creative initiatives to enrich life in the local community. With great enthusiasm, the volunteers exchanged ideas, shared experiences, and laid the groundwork for future activities.
Here’s what one of the participants, volunteer Nejira Mulahmetović, had to say about the project:
The Boombar project is a fantastic initiative that shows how fun and education can go hand in hand. The training was a great opportunity to learn more about addiction prevention and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. I was thrilled that we had the chance to discuss topics that are often taboo among young people but are so important. It’s crucial for young people to feel safe and accepted, and projects like this make that possible. The training taught me how to support my peers and help them make healthy decisions. I realized how important it is to listen to others and show empathy. These projects are incredibly valuable for young people as they give us the chance to grow as individuals and contribute to our community.
The volunteers demonstrated exceptional dedication and innovation, and their ideas and motivation are the best proof that young people can truly make our society healthier and better.
