The Association for Addiction Prevention NARKO-NE invites young people aged 18 to 30 from Bosnia and Herzegovina to volunteer in Aachen (Germany) as part of the European Solidarity Corps program!
The project is titled Solidarity with People with Disabilities.
Volunteering opportunities are available with Pax Christi Aachen and Vinzenz-Heim Aachen.
Volunteers will support the inclusion of people with disabilities through daily activities and tasks, such as:
– Assisting with daily activities (e.g., setting the table, making coffee) –
Organizing leisure activities
– Helping with cooking and shopping
– Providing support during trips and vacations
– Assisting with mobility (e.g., pushing a wheelchair, walking with a blind person)
–Participating in team meetings
The volunteer engagement lasts from June 2024 to May 2025 (12 months). The preparatory process (preparing documentation, obtaining a visa, etc.) begins immediately after the volunteer is selected.
Knowledge of the German language is not mandatory but is desirable. All costs are covered (one level of language course, health insurance, accommodation, pocket money, transportation). Before departure to Germany and throughout the volunteer engagement, the selected volunteer will receive continuous support from a NARKO-NE mentor.

The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is a European Union initiative that creates opportunities for young people to volunteer or work on projects in their own countries or abroad that benefit communities and people across Europe. NARKO-NE has been an accredited organization for sending and receiving volunteers within the ESC program since 2014.
