Atmosfera tokom obuke bila je izuzetno motivirajuća i interaktivna, a aktivno učešće i otvorenost grupe dodatno su doprinijeli kvaliteti rada i razmjeni iskustava. Ovakvi treninzi predstavljaju važan korak u razvoju kvalitetne i održive prevencije u Crnoj Gori i regionu, ali i priliku za jačanje međusobne saradnje stručnjaka i institucija. Stručni centar za prevenciju ovisnosti ponosan je što je doprinio širenju EUPC zajednice i jačanju kvalitetne, naučno utemeljene prevencije u regionu. 

Voditeljica obuke Jana Šekularac, Samostalna savjetnica za prevenciju bolesti ovisnosti u Opštini Bar podijelila je svoje dojmove: 

Bilo mi je veliko zadovoljstvo biti dio realizacije prvog EUPC treninga u Crnoj Gori zajedno sa kolegama iz Stručnog centra za prevenciju ovisnosti. Posebno mi je značila veoma aktivna i motivisana grupa učesnika, otvorenost za diskusiju i spremnost da kritički promišljamo o prevenciji i načinima unapređenja prakse u našim zajednicama. Povratne informacije učesnika pokazale su da postoji stvarna potreba za naučno utemeljenim pristupima prevenciji, što ovaj trening čini posebno važnim. Vjerujem da je ovo tek početak kvalitetne saradnje i razvoja „evidence-based“ prevencije u Crnoj Gori i regionu. 

Tokom dvodnevnog treninga učesnice su su stekle osnovno znanje o kvalitetnoj i djelotvornoj prevenciji ovisnosti koja je zasnovana na naučnim dokazima. Također im je trening pružio osnovne preglede standarda kvalitete koji se primjenjuju i koji su podloga za kreiranje i provođenje intervencija, kao i pregled djelotvornih intervencija u različitim oblastima kao što su porodica, škola, radno mjesto, životna sredina, lokalna zajednica i mediji. Učesnice su imale priliku razmijeniti iskustva iz prakse te razgovarati o izazovima i mogućnostima unapređenja preventivnog rada u lokalnim zajednicama. Poseban fokus bio je na važnosti evidence-based pristupa u planiranju i provođenju preventivnih aktivnosti. 

O svom učešću na obuci Danica Markolović, pomoćnica sekretara za sport i mlade u Opštini Bar rekla je: 

S obzirom da sam po struci ekonomista i ovo nije moja primarna oblast izuzetno mi se dopao način rada, stručnost trenerica i trenera i prilika da steknem nova znanja i drugačiju perspektivu o važnosti prevencije i rada sa ljudima. 

Nova energija, nova saradnja i ista misija – da EUPC raste i povezuje ljude širom regiona.

Događaj je održan 28. aprila, na Svjetski dan sigurnosti i zdravlja na radu, čime je dodatno naglašena važnost sistemskog pristupa zaštiti zdravlja zaposlenih i stvaranju sigurnih radnih uslova. Aktivnost predstavlja nastavak zajedničkih inicijativa u oblasti prevencije ovisnosti u radnom okruženju.

Prezentacija i obuka okupile su učesnice i učesnike iz šest različitih gradova Zeničko-dobojskog kantona, iz ustanova sistema socijalne zaštite, zdravstva, sigurnosti i obrazovanja, ističući bitnost uključivanja privatnog sektora u ovakve aktivnosti. Jedna od tačaka današnjih diskusija je bila i bitnost podizanja svijesti menadžment nivoa u privatnom sektoru o bitnosti prevencije i značaja zdravog radnog okruženja.

U uvodnom dijelu prisutnima se obratio Amir Hasanović, izvršni direktor Stručnog centra, ističući značaj partnerstva između stručnih organizacija, institucija i poslodavaca u razvoju održivih rješenja za zdravo radno okruženje.

Poseban doprinos dala je prof. dr. sc. prim. Aida Ramić – Čatak, dr. med., pomoćnica ravnatelja za medicinske poslove i voditeljica Sektora javnog zdravstva Zavoda za javno zdravstvo Federacije BiH, koja je predstavila rezultate istraživanja o nadzoru i zaštiti zdravlja zaposlenika u radnom okruženju u Federaciji BiH, naglašavajući ključne izazove i preporuke za unapređenje prakse.

Program obuke bio je usmjeren na konkretne potrebe poslodavaca, a učesnici su kroz interaktivne sesije imali priliku upoznati praktične alate za prepoznavanje i rješavanje problema u radnom okruženju – uključujući teme ovisnosti, mentalnog zdravlja i organizacijske podrške zaposlenima.

Obuku je vodila Ileana Šnur – Muratagić, stručna saradnica na programu prevencije ovisnosti u radnom okruženju, koja je kroz predavanja i radionice obradila ključna pitanja vezana za ulogu poslodavaca i kolega u očuvanju zdravlja zaposlenih, kao i važnost uvođenja strukturiranih programa unapređenja zdravlja.

Poseban fokus stavljen je na predstavljanje sveobuhvatnog programa koji poslodavcima nudi jasne korake – od procjene stanja, preko edukacije i razvoja internih politika, do implementacije i praćenja rezultata. Na kraju događaja svim učesnicama i učesnicima uručeni su certifikati o učešću.

Poruka događaja je jasna: ulaganje u zdravo radno okruženje nije trošak, već strateška investicija koja doprinosi produktivnosti, zadovoljstvu zaposlenih i dugoročnoj održivosti organizacija i kompanija.

Konferencija je okupila relevantne stručnjake iz oblasti obrazovanja, socijalne zaštite i zdravstva s ciljem jačanja međusektorske saradnje i pronalaska sistemskih rješenja za sve izraženiji problem nasilja među mladima. Posebno je istaknuto da se nasilje ne može posmatrati izolovano, već kao kompleksan društveni izazov koji zahtijeva uključivanje porodice, škole i institucija.

U ime Stručnog centra za prevenciju ovisnosti, značajan doprinos konferenciji dao je direktor Amir Hasanović, koji je imao čast da bude uvodničar skupa. U svom obraćanju naglasio je važnost primjene principa prevencijske nauke, posebno u kontekstu ograničenih resursa:

„Izuzetna čast što sam imao priliku ispred Stručnog centra za prevenciju ovisnosti kao uvodničar govoriti na temu prevencijske znanosti, te ukazati na značaj primjene pristupa za koje imamo dokaze da su djelotvorni. Resursi su nam svakako oskudni, moramo biti pametniji u odabiru i finansiranju preventivnih programa!“

Hasanović je također izrazio zahvalnost Edukacijsko-rehabilitacijskom fakultetu na pozivu i kontinuiranoj saradnji u promociji kvalitetnih i naučno utemeljenih preventivnih praksi.

Tokom konferencije istaknuto je da su savremeni izazovi, poput prijetnji sigurnosti u školama, dodatno opteretili obrazovne institucije, koje se sve češće nalaze u ulozi žrtve šireg društvenog nasilja. Upravo zbog toga, naglašena je potreba za koordiniranim djelovanjem svih relevantnih aktera – od obrazovnog sistema, preko centara za socijalni rad, do zdravstvenih ustanova.

Konferencija PrevCon26 predstavlja nastavak kontinuiranih aktivnosti usmjerenih ka unapređenju prevencije nasilja, uključujući brojne kampanje, edukacije i razvoj novih politika. Zaključci ovog skupa poslužit će kao važna osnova za dalji razvoj strategija koje imaju za cilj stvaranje sigurnijeg i zdravijeg okruženja za djecu i mlade.

Učešće Stručnog centra za prevenciju ovisnosti na ovom značajnom događaju potvrđuje našu opredijeljenost ka promovisanju efikasnih, dokazima potkrijepljenih pristupa u prevenciji, kao i jačanju saradnje sa akademskom zajednicom i institucijama sistema.

Sjednici su prisustvovali članovi i članice Skupštine, predstavnici volontera, zaposlenici i saradnici, kao i partneri i prijatelji organizacije, koji su imali priliku upoznati se s ključnim rezultatima rada u protekloj godini, ali i planovima za budući period.

Na samom početku sjednice riječi dobrodošlice uputio je direktor Amir Hasanović te predsjednik Skupštine Tarik Smailbegović, nakon čega je izvršen izbor verifikacijske komisije i zapisničara, te predstavljen izvještaj o prisutnosti članova. U nastavku se prisutnima obratila predsjednica Upravnog odbora, Ivona Čelebičić ističući značaj transformacije u Stručni centar kao prirodan korak u razvoju organizacije, ali i potvrdu dugogodišnjeg rada, stručnosti i posvećenosti u oblasti prevencije ovisnosti, koja je izgrađena na temeljima svega onoga što je bio NARKO-NE.

Poseban fokus sjednice bio je na predstavljanju izvještaja o radu i finansijskog izvještaja za proteklu godinu, kroz koje su istaknuti ključni rezultati ostvareni tokom 2025. godine. Naglašeni su kontinuirani napori u razvoju preventivnih programa, jačanju saradnje s lokalnim zajednicama, kao i unapređenju stručnih kapaciteta organizacije, a oba izvještaja jednoglasno su usvojena od strane Skupštine.

Tokom diskusije o radu u prethodnoj godini, prisutni su imali priliku razmijeniti mišljenja, podijeliti iskustva i ukazati na izazove, ali i mogućnosti za dalji razvoj. Nakon konstruktivne diskusije, usvojeni su izvještaj o radu i finansijski izvještaj, čime je potvrđena transparentnost i odgovornost u radu Stručnog centra.

U nastavku sjednice predstavljen je Program rada za 2026. godinu, koji uključuje nastavak postojećih programa, razvoj novih inicijativa, te dodatno jačanje stručnog djelovanja i saradnje s relevantnim akterima u zajednici. Također, prisutnima su se obratili i gosti, partneri i saradnici, koji su izrazili podršku daljem radu i razvoju Stručnog centra.

Sjednica je završena zakuskom uz neformalno druženje, što je dodatno doprinijelo jačanju međusobnih veza i razmjeni ideja.

Zajednički zaključak ove Skupštine jeste da prelazak u Stručni centar za prevenciju ovisnosti predstavlja važan iskorak ka još kvalitetnijem i sistematičnijem djelovanju, te da prevencija ostaje ključna društvena odgovornost – ne kao trošak, već kao dugoročna investicija u zdravlje i dobrobit zajednice.

The family is the first environment in which a child learns behavioral patterns, adopts values, and develops ways of coping with challenges. When this environment lacks strong foundations for healthy emotional and social development, the likelihood increases that a young person will have difficulty recognizing external pressures and responding to challenges appropriately, which in the long term may increase the risk of developing addiction.

For this reason, the Addiction Prevention Competence Centre emphasizes the importance of high-quality, supportive family relationships as one of the key protective factors in addiction prevention. In response to this need, the Strong Families Programme developed by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is being implemented. The programme focuses on strengthening parenting competencies, improving family skills, and encouraging open communication and positive relationships among family members. Through this programme, parents and caregivers receive support in their parenting roles, while families are empowered to create a stable and supportive home environment.

The training for new facilitators was led by Alma Hadžiskakić, Programme Associate for Family-Based Prevention, and Andrea Mijatović, Deputy Executive Director of the Addiction Prevention Competence Centre. Through interactive methods, they introduced participants to the programme concept, its structure, and implementation approach.

The programme’s results to date indicate significant positive changes in both parents and children.

I gladly accepted the invitation to this training, as I believe that every new model of working with families strengthens us within the Center and provides new approaches to addressing family situations. Three groups of four participants from the Center attended this training and will implement the programme. The training was very engaging—I appreciated the combination of workshop-based work and theory, as well as the practical examples that helped us understand how we will apply this in practice.

The SPES organization works on the protection of children, youth, and families, and implements many preventive programmes in the local community in the city of Mostar. The professionals participating in the training came from: Zenica – the Catholic School Centre “Saint Paul” and the NADA Citizens’ Association; Kiseljak – “Ivan Goran Kovačić” Secondary School; Kakanj – the Majlis of the Islamic Community of Kakanj, Marriage and Family Counselling Centre; Zavidovići – the Centre for Social Work; Maglaj – the Centre for Social Work; Lukavac – the Public Institution Primary School “Lukavac Grad”; and SOS Children’s Villages Sarajevo.

This Programme is important because there are numerous factors that may precede the development of addiction, with family relationships standing out as one of the most significant. In many cases, disrupted or low-quality relationships within the family represent a risk factor for the development of various forms of addictive behaviour. The first patterns of behaviour, values, and ways of coping with challenges are adopted within the family. If this environment does not provide a foundation for healthy child development and the formation of a personality capable of recognising and resisting pressures and adequately coping with life challenges, the risk of developing addiction later in life increases.

The Addiction Prevention Competence Centre has recognised high-quality family relationships as one of the key protective factors in addiction prevention. For this reason, the Strong Families Programme is implemented with the aim of improving family skills, empowering parents and guardians in their parenting role, and encouraging the development of positive and supportive interactions among family members.

The training for new implementers was led by Alma Hadžiskakić, Programme Officer for Family Prevention Programmes, and Andrea Mijatović, Deputy Executive Director of the Addiction Prevention Competence Centre. Through interactive working methods, they introduced participants to the programme concept, its structure, and implementation approach.

The results achieved so far indicate significant positive changes, both among parents and children.

Participants highlighted that the training took place in a relaxed and motivating atmosphere, characterised by a sense of a safe environment and strong group support. They particularly emphasised the value of the detailed guidelines and materials provided, which enable them to immediately begin implementing the programme in their local communities. Cooperation, exchange of experiences, and the active participation of the entire group further contributed to the quality of the training and strengthened participants for their future work.

The training was held 5. and 6, 2026, in Tuzla. Participants gained foundational knowledge on high-quality and effective addiction prevention based on scientific evidence. The EUPC training provides participants with an overview of quality standards that serve as the basis for designing and implementing interventions, as well as an overview of effective interventions across various areas, including family, school, workplace, environment, local community, and media. Participants were especially encouraged to discuss addiction prevention programs currently implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to compare them with the interventions they themselves apply in their work with beneficiaries, in relation to what science indicates to be effective and what may even be harmful to end users.

The EUPC training covers the latest evidence in the field of addiction prevention, and after completing the training, participants are provided with the EUPC manual, which can serve as a reminder and a guide for their future work.

The training was very useful and practical, and it helped me refresh certain knowledge as well as learn new practices. This type of work is particularly important, as it represents a strong link between institutions and non-governmental organizations.

Nadina Mokayes, MD, Specialist in Hygiene and Medical Ecology:

Although I have nearly ten years of experience in designing and implementing health promotion and prevention activities, during and after the course I realized that I may not always have worked in a scientifically grounded way. This shows how essential continuous learning truly is, and this course enabled me to gain new knowledge, as well as ideas and inspiration for further work.

Prim. Prof. Dr. Maida Mulić, Head of the Preventive and Health Promotion Service:

Attending the workshop once again showed me that there is always something new to learn. The workshop changed my approach to work methods and made me more aware that I need to be much more detailed, subtle, and cautious when selecting methods. A new area I will focus on is standardization and quality in the field of prevention.

As part of its regular activities, the Institute of Public Health is engaged in health promotion and prevention. This training represented an upgrade of existing knowledge. Participants were extremely satisfied with the training, particularly in terms of methodology and content, especially the interactive component. It was important for us in terms of refreshing our knowledge, and we particularly appreciated the presentation style and the working methodology.

Lets grow Up Together is a curriculum-based program aimed at promoting health and personal development of children from the 1st to the 4th grade of primary school. The program is based on a life-skills approach, focusing on strengthening children’s social and personal competencies.

Self-confident children who have a positive attitude toward themselves and their abilities, who have learned to resolve conflicts through negotiation, who can correctly assess and verbalize their feelings and needs, and who are able to resist negative peer pressure can face life’s challenges more strongly and confidently and consciously choose a healthy lifestyle.

The training for teachers who will implement the program in their schools was delivered by professional associates from Addiction Prevention Compentence Centre , Sanela Pekić and Kerima Delibašić. The training is mandatory for all program implementers. A total of 17 teachers successfully completed the training in Kakanj, while 19 completed it in Sarajevo.

The program trainer, Kerima Delibašić, reflected on her experience:

The training went very well and was an extremely positive experience for all of us. It is always a pleasure to work with a motivated group that genuinely wants to learn and improve in their work. I am confident that the program will bring equally positive benefits for children in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, and what makes us especially happy is the continuation of our cooperation, because we have recognized together a shared goal and direction.

During the training, participants, in addition to theoretical introduction to the program, practiced simulations of life-skills workshops to be able to work successfully with children, and they also received the working materials necessary for implementing program activities.

What participants say about the training and the program:

The training was a very pleasant and useful experience. Through practical examples and discussion, I gained new ideas on how to better support children in developing self-confidence, expressing emotions, and resolving conflicts. The program reminded me how crucial understanding, support, and good relationships are for children’s development. I plan to gladly use the acquired knowledge in everyday practice.

The training and the health promotion and child development program Lets grow Up together are very useful and educational. We received very important guidelines for further work. The workshops conducted within the project involve direct work with children and imply creating a safe and supportive environment. The workshops directly contribute to children’s safety and prevention, because a safe child is not only physically protected, but also equipped with internal tools to defend against risks. I am very satisfied with the Growing Up Together program, because through workshops with my students I will directly contribute to the development of empathy, emotional security, and skills that will become their real shield. A safe child is not one who fears the world, but one who has the skills to navigate it

During program implementation, teachers will receive continuous support from the professional team of Addiction Prevention Compentence Centre, which will conduct monitoring and evaluation in accordance with quality standards.

During the training, participants became thoroughly familiar with the Who Actually Wins? program manual, which offers clearly structured and age-appropriate workshops. In addition, the broader social and societal context of gambling in Bosnia and Herzegovina was addressed, including topics such as behavioral addictions, the influence of the gambling industry, children’s and young people’s exposure to gambling-related content, and potential consequences for mental health and everyday functioning.

The program’s objectives are aimed at increasing young people’s knowledge about the risks of gambling, developing their socio-emotional skills, and encouraging responsible and conscious behavior when engaging in games of chance.

The training was interactive in nature, and participants had the opportunity to exchange practical experiences, discuss challenges in working with secondary school–aged youth, and test various methods and approaches to preventive work through practical exercises.

A total of 25 participants successfully completed the training and will have the opportunity this year to apply their knowledge and implement the Program in their schools, thereby emphasizing the importance of joint action and preventive activities.
