The Association for Addiction Prevention NARKO-NE<\/em> develops and implements evidence-based interventions that balance global scientific trends in addiction prevention with the specific needs of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition to empowering children and young people and strengthening their protective factors through direct work, NARKO-NE<\/em> also enhances the capacities of professionals working with them.
In line with the organization’s needs, we are announcing a job opening for a fixed-term position (twelve months), with the possibility of extension.
Position Title<\/strong>
Program Coordinator for Older Brother, Older Sister<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Position Description<\/strong>
The Program Coordinator for Older Brother, Older Sister<\/em> manages all aspects of program implementation at both operational and management levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Main Responsibilities<\/strong>
Coordinating all phases of work with volunteers.
Organizing and conducting individual and group advisory meetings and training for volunteers.
Fundraising, creating activity plans and budgets at the operational level, their implementation, monitoring, evaluation, documentation, and reporting.
Handling logistical tasks necessary for the smooth execution of activities and other association-related duties.
Contributing to the strategic development of the Association.
This list of tasks is not exhaustive and may be supplemented in line with organizational needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualifications and Experience<\/strong>
Formal Requirements:
Completion of the first cycle of higher education (undergraduate studies) lasting at least three or four years, with an academic title of Bachelor in a relevant field, or completion of the second cycle of higher education (graduate studies), with an academic title of Master in a relevant field. Preference will be given to psychology, pedagogy, social work, social pedagogy, or other relevant disciplines in the humanities.
At least one year of experience in project and program management.
Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office, Office365, email, team collaboration software, video conferencing, and internet research).
Excellent language literacy in B\/C\/S languages.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly.
Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Experience working with children and young people is an advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional Requirements:
Adherence to the internal rules and procedures of NARKO-NE.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including office, remote, and fieldwork.
Commitment to learning about addiction prevention, working with children and young people, and other topics relevant to the Association’s activities.
Organizational skills, responsibility, self-discipline, planning and tracking one’s work, and motivation for improvement.
Responsible handling of information and documentation, attention to detail, and precision.
Willingness to travel within and outside BiH for professional development and organizational needs.
Openness to using various digital tools to facilitate and accelerate work processes.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Candidates who do not make the shortlist will be informed, while those selected will be invited for an interview and capacity assessment (knowledge, skills, and abilities test).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interviews with shortlisted candidates will take place from January 20 to 24, 2025, at the NARKO-NE <\/em>Association premises, Hermanna Gmeinera 13, Sarajevo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The selected candidate is expected to start working on February 1, 2025, or February 3, 2025 (Monday).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Association reserves the right not to hire any candidates if they do not meet the criteria. In such a case, the advertisement will be extended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
