{"id":13641,"date":"2025-11-12T14:50:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-12T13:50:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prevencija.ba\/opportunity-for-young-people-from-bosnia-and-herzegovina-volunteer-in-germany\/"},"modified":"2026-02-13T12:18:06","modified_gmt":"2026-02-13T11:18:06","slug":"opportunity-for-young-people-from-bosnia-and-herzegovina-volunteer-in-germany","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prevencija.ba\/en\/opportunity-for-young-people-from-bosnia-and-herzegovina-volunteer-in-germany\/","title":{"rendered":"Opportunity for Young People from Bosnia and Herzegovina \u2013 Volunteer in Germany!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Would you like to gain new experiences, meet wonderful people, and do something meaningful for the community?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <em>Addiction Prevention Competence Centre <\/em>invites young people aged 18 to 30 from Bosnia and Herzegovina to volunteer in Aachen (Germany) as part of the <em>European Solidarity Corps program!<\/em><\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About the project<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Solidarity with People with Disability<br\/>The volunteering takes place within the organizations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/paxchristiAachen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pax christi Aachen<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/vinzenzheim\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vinzenz-Heim Aachen,<\/a> which support the inclusion and independence of persons with disabilities.<\/em><\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What do volunteers do?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will be part of a team that:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>assists with daily activities (e.g., setting the table, making coffee)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>organizes leisure time and group activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>provides support with shopping, cooking, and travel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>assists persons with disabilities in mobility and communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>participates in team meetings and idea exchanges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Duration and conditions<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The volunteering period lasts a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 months and begins once the preparation process and visa arrangements are completed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of the German language is not mandatory (but is desirable).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All costs are covered \u2013 language course, health insurance, accommodation, transportation, and pocket money!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Throughout the entire process, you will have the support of a mentor from the Addiction Prevention Competence Centre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to apply?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applications are open until all positions are filled, so don\u2019t wait!<br\/>Send your CV and motivation letter to: azra.halilovic@prevencija.ba<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selected candidates will be invited for an interview, followed by preparation for departure and the start of your European adventure!<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Would you like to hear about the experiences of other young people?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/prevencija.ba\/en\/oblasti-djelovanja\/internacionalni-volonterizam\/\">stories<\/a> of our former volunteers \u2013 they might inspire you to take your first step!<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>*The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program offers young people the opportunity to volunteer or work on projects that benefit communities across Europe.
